Gartner #CFO survey shows business intelligence and enterprise application software as central to the #finance strategy

The third #CFO survey conducted by Gartner and Financial Executives Research Foundation shows that CFOs alone have authorised 26% of all IT strategic investments.


IT departments report to the CFO in 58% of companies with revenue between $50-250 million.


These findings highlight the power of business insight, analytics and information to enhance strategic financial planning and decision-making structures.


72% of firms said they will invest where IT can produce competitive advantage. Senior financial executives ranked business intelligence and enterprise business applications as investment priorities.
